VMware vSphere 5 has arrived!
It feels like ages ago that VMware announced vSphere 5 – this was 12th of July. VMware at that time promised the GA date as being “before VMworld US”.
Yesterday (25.08.2011) VMware put up the bits for the vSphere 5 productline.
Today they followed up by also adding the vCenter Server Linux appliance.
ESX is gone and the only product available is now the beefed up ESXi version, with a more comprehensive firewall among other things.
